New Nokia E6 Internet and Web Browser Review
A simple browser, won’t give you everything you wanted unlike the iOS and Android browsers. But, there is Opera Mini if you want a better alternative. The web browser connects well, with the 3G networks the speed and response is good and the browser shows the data load on the top right side.
While browsing the page, the bottom left has an option to go back to the previous page, and the bottom right has an option to open the menu. Multiple tabs can be opened, and pinch-to-zoom in and out responds well again.
The web browser has certainly improved in the Nokia E6 than in the previous phones and Symbian versions. Both the landscape and normal view show the page in a well sorted design.
The internet browsing and connection are well responsive, so to take the best advantage we used the Opera Mini and the multi-messenger apps that were available for free in the Nokia ovi store.
The Ovi Maps in Nokia E6 load the stuff pretty fast, though we checked that on the 3G and 4Mbps Wi-Fi speed, so can’t say how well the 2G networks would fare on it.
The right side options section would open a list of options, which include the direct opening of Homepage, saving the current page as bookmark, viewing the list of bookmarks, opening the list of active windows, sending the link of page via email, history of pages opened, adding a feed of the page you have opened, and opening the settings section.
There are quite many settings you can play around with, to make the browsing experience a little better. The options of the connectivity and the page opening can be changed. But as said, there are alternatives like the Opera Mini browser which would make things far better and it has always been one of the best 3rd party web browsers for the Symbian phones.
