The first set of images that are bound Frankfurt Motor Show Ferrari 458 Spider Italy has trickled out in the open thanks to the people over at Cheers & Gears fan site.
Information remains scarce for now, but sources indicate that there is a retractable hardtop hide under a double pod in the rear passenger area, and not on traditional fabrics as previously thought.
Not surprisingly, we hope to feature amazing Spider same 4.5-liter V8 engine with direct injection technology that powers the 458 coupe model Italia.
V8 rated at 570 horsepower at 9,000 rpm and 540Nm or 398.2 pounds-ft of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. Power will be sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed gearbox Ferrari F1 dual-clutch.
